There has been a new trend in the world of nail polishes that has nothing to do with generic, boring, been-round-forever colors like classic red and pink, and is all about bright, fun, eye-catching, colored nails. Crazy colors like electric blue, acid green and saffron orange have made a huge comeback from the 1980s. One of the leaders in these fashionable shades is Essie, a brand that has been around since 1981 and is known as a color authority in the nail polish market. Their new 2015 Summer Collection of six nail polishes is fun, fresh and definitely attention grabbing.
The collection is comprised of six shades – Private Weekend (shimmery white), Chillato (cream pistachio), Peach Side Babe (sun-ripe peach), Sunset Sneaks (crimson red), Saltwater Happy (Atlantic blue) and Pret-a-Surfer (marine blue). All of these nail polishes are not only chic and on trend, but also very long lasting. They are heavily pigmented, have great texture, will last you at least a week, will not chip, and you only need one coat.
Most importantly, Essie’s nail polishes are free from DBP (dibutyl phthalate), Toluene and Formaldehyde, known also as “the toxic trio”. These are harsh chemicals that have been linked to cancer.
For that perfect manicure, Essie suggests to first use Apricot cuticle oil, then Essie base coat, one or two coats of Essie nail polish and to finish it all off with Essie top coat. The colors from the Summer 2015 collection look great on both pale and darker skin tones, and they are inspired by “endless summer fun”.
