If you’re one of those people that, when visiting restaurants, wonders how the dish you’re feasting on was made, NOPI: The Cookbook is a perfect book for you. Two famous chefs, Yotam Ottolenghi and Ramael Scully, made a cookbook with over 120 recipes they use at the NOPI restaurant.
NOPI is Ottolenghi’s restaurant that got its name from the London neighborhood north of Piccadilly Circus. He and his main chef Scully worked together for about 10 years and learned from one another about different cuisines. They figured out how to make a perfect blend of Asian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.
In this book you’ll find something for every meal or occasion. All the recipes are adapted so anyone can make them in their kitchen. You can find some recipes that are really easy to make, and others that are a bit tricky, for those who have a lot of time and enjoy challenges.
As some of the ingredients are probably going to be hard to find, they offer different substitutes you can use so the meal tastes as similar as in the restaurant. There’s a different chapter for starters and sides, fish, meat and vegetable mains, puddings, brunch, condiments and cocktails.
NOPI: The Cookbook covers basically everything. With it, you’ll learn to make the restaurant’s signature dishes at home, like Beef Brisket Croquettes or Persian Love Rice. All you have to do is pick up the book, shop for the ingredients, roll up your sleeves and get down to it.
