Instead of Throwing a Big Wedding, this Couple Eloped in Iceland

IN Adventurous -

Weddings can be very expensive. Just think about it. Finding the perfect location, dress, cake, going through all the effort for a simple ‘I do’. When Jeremy and Rachelle Garrett decided to plan their wedding, they got overwhelmed. Rachelle then came up with a fabulous plan. The two should travel around Iceland and get married on a spot they like the most.

“A big, traditional wedding was never something that I wanted,” Rachelle said. “I never had any dreams of my perfect wedding like my friends did when we were growing up.” A few weeks later they started their 11-day Iceland adventure. They lived in a van, went on hikes and explored this beautiful country.

One day, the couple stumbled upon the ancient ruins of an old church that survived a volcanic eruption. The both knew this is the perfect place for the wedding. Nothing huge, just the two of them exchanging their vows and rings. The photographer Troy Moth took photos of the last part of their adventure.

Check out wonderful photos from their Iceland wedding adventure.
