Detox is a term usually reserved for recovery (from food, alcohol etc.). And it’s usually short and intense, to the point of unhealthy, with a lot of restrictions that might lead to bingeing. But Megan Gilmore, in her new book Everyday Detox, shows us the way to detox naturally, without dieting or calorie counting. It’s year-round process, basically a lifestyle and it can help you lose weight, sleep better and improve digestion. And it mostly consists of eating. This book has a 100 recipes that are tasty, easy to digest, and which will give the aforementioned results. The book also includes information about how to stock your kitchen with appropriate ingredients. Since the author doesn’t believe in severe restrictions, she included a cheat sheet, to stave off the desire for “banned” items.

Some of the recipes are Chocolate Chia Shake, Broccoli Cheese Soup, Skillet Fish Tacos, Banana Coconut Muffins, Mediterranean Chopped Salad, Peppermint Fudge Bars and Cauliflower Flatbread Pizza. They are made with all-natural, whole foods ingredients. That way you aren’t as likely to cheat, since your body is nutritionally fulfilled.
