If you demand nothing but the best from your headphones, there is only one name to turn to – Bang & Olufsen. Their Beoplay H8 headphones have been called one of “the sleekest” and “the plushest” wireless headphones on the market with brilliant noise-cancelling properties. But let’s start with the elegant design first and we’ll get to the features later.
Beoplay H8 are clearly fashion-forward, superbly crafted headphones. They were designed by Jakob Wagner who also designed the much celebrated Beoplay H6 headphones. The H8 model is available in two colors – Argilla Bright and Gray Hazel – but we are going to review the first, brighter and sleeker model. The materials used in making these headphones are highly-polished, anodized aluminum, plastic, fabric and soft lambskin leather (with memory foam). The latter is used for ear pads which makes Beoplay H8 very comfortable and suitable for long wear. By the way, ear cups also house an impressive touch control system.
Where do we even start when it comes to Beoplay H8’s features? There is the aforementioned excellent noise cancellation feature, controls that are in-built in the right ear cup, the Bluetooth 4.0 technology, frequency that ranges from 20 Hz to 22,000 Hz, 800 mAh rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery that lasts up to 14 hours, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), speakers with dynamic 40mm diameter, and weight of only 255gr (9oz). The headphones also come with a USB cable for charging, a 3.5mm mini-Jack audio cable, a flight adapter, a carrying pouch, a quick guide and warranty information (2-year limited warranty).
